An Open Letter to Eponine

Dear Eponine,

First of all I wold like to commend you on your bravery and selflessness. You put your own feelings and happiness aside just so that Marius can have the chance to be with his Cossette. So many girls look up to you as the symbol of struggle and strength when going through the harsh reality of unrequited romance. Everyone condemned the Marius x Cossette ship because Marius was never meant to be with her, he was meant to be with you.

 But I just need to point out one thing: Marius is seriously not all that. Do you really want to be with someone who took forever to appreciate your existence? You followed him everywhere, did everything for him, even at the cost of your own life. Sure, he cared for a bit when you were dying, but his mind suddenly jumped back to his precious Cossette. Honey, you deserved a way better guy than that. 

You could have left the damn barricades and lived out your own life. You would have met a nice guy (who actually loves you) and had a family, and lived happily ever after. You wouldn't have to be on your own for any longer. But no, you decided to join Marius and his boys to the grave. You saved his life in exchange for yours and I guess that was the "noble and right thing to do". But just so you know, choosing yourself isn't the wrong thing to do either.

P.S. Enjolras is way hotter and manlier and braver than Marius. I've always secretly shipped the two of you. Since you guys are now in the afterlife together, maybe something could happen.
